Dreamscapes inhabits a liminal realm where memory, symbol, sensation, and intuition intertwine

I’m really excited to share with you my new release with Tappan, Dreamscapes.

Veils of luminous blues, layered surfaces, and a soft dreamlike mist move throughout the paintings, creating spaces that feel both familiar and elusive. Forms emerge, dissolve, and reappear, much like fragments recalled from a dream. Within the larger canvas works, symbols and traces of light language are embedded beneath translucent layers, at times concealed and at times revealed, as though surfacing from the depths of memory itself.

The works on paper offer a more immediate encounter. Created prior to the canvas works, these light-language drawings act as intuitive sketches of an energetic essence, gathering the first impressions, sensations, and transmissions that would later unfold more fully within the paintings. Their gestural markings remain largely unobscured, appearing as direct traces from these dreamlike realms. The canvas works carry these initial impulses forward, allowing them to evolve through layers of symbolism, atmosphere, and veiling. Together, the works move between what is hidden and what is revealed, creating a dialogue between the seen and the unseen.

Influenced by dreams, inner landscapes, and imagined soundscapes that seem to exist beyond space and time, these works are conceived as spaces to enter rather than images to decipher. They invite a slowing down, a softening of perception, allowing memory, emotion, and imagination to surface and move freely.

This series is an invitation into the fluid terrain of dreaming: a place for quiet wandering, deep meditation, and release.

This body of work isn’t so much about dream states themselves, although traces of them exist throughout the paintings. It is more about the in-between; the spaces that haven’t quite entered the physical world yet. The place where dreams, intuition, memory, hope, and imagination quietly meet before they become something tangible.

Lately, I’ve noticed my practice naturally falling into themes. Some arrive for a single release and move on. Others linger.

Dreamscapes has been one of those themes continues to unfold over time.

You will probably notice it most in the larger canvas paintings, alongside an expansion of my Light Codes series — the sketchier, more vibrational works on paper. I’ve realized I haven’t shared much about where those pieces come from.

When messages come through, it’s similar to sensing vibration frequencies. I liken it to music where sound waves are visually seen when certain notes are played. Those sketch-like marks became my way of responding to that experience.

What has surprised me most is how these different parts of my practice have begun to come together.

For years, my paintings, my writing, and the quiet insights that accompanied them felt like parallel paths. They belonged together, but they hadn’t yet fully merged.

Now they have.

More and more often, I’ll finish a painting, spend time simply looking at it, and messages begin to come. I’ve started writing those reflections on the backs of the paintings.

If you have collected my work or plan to collect one of these new pieces, you may discover a handwritten message waiting for you. Sometimes it’s written in words. Other times it appears as Light Language, echoing the same visual vocabulary found within the drawings themselves.

It feels as though the two languages I’ve been speaking independently have finally begun inhabiting the same space.

I’ve wondered for years when that integration might happen, and watching it unfold has been one of the most meaningful shifts in my practice.

There’s one painting in particular from Dreamscapes that continues to stay with me, and I would love to share more about it soon — why it was created, what I experienced while making it, and why it still feels especially close to my heart. Although, truthfully, I love every piece in this collection. Each one carries its own atmosphere and its own quiet conversation.
