Ganbaru

In Japanese, it means "to work hard towards"

"It’s been about a month since this recording, and it's something I continue to think about daily. I was recently asked, 'Where do you see your career headed?' Up until earlier this year, I had visions of a particular progression, one tied to traditional expectations from someone on a similar career path to my own.

However, more and more, I hear stories about those who have experienced success in their lives regretting it later. Not everyone, of course, because we all have different metrics when it comes to what we value in life, but many would agree that the most important things in life are those that money can’t buy: time, love, friendship, health, happiness, and the list goes on. The intangibly tangible things in life.

And I started wondering, 'What would life feel like if I were to relax more and let things flow? To let go and enjoy life as it is?'

Although my calendar is still filled with deadlines to meet and my to-do list is longer than I can keep up with at times, I’m starting to experience longer moments of ease, which I love. It reminds me that life is a combination of many things — what we do, see, sense, feel, touch.

So, to answer the question of what I envision for my career progression — to fully embody and enjoy what I do and ride the wave of creativity wherever it may lead."
